i.e. the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation-Germany Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. Frank trained with the 1st Armored Division at Fort Hood TX
before joining the occupation of Germany with the 4th Infantry Division in

1LT James C. Ferguson |
|
1920 - 2010 Lock Haven PA |
Mr. Ferguson Obit
|
|
Sorry to learn about Jim Ferguson's
passing. He was a gentleman. I remember him from when I was a young kid, long before I knew him from LHHS.
Penney's was the distributor for official Boy Scout clothing and products, and Mr. Ferguson would help me when I came in to
shop for Boy Scout stuff. He was always polite, and greeted my Mom by name. I wish I had him for Math in
high school - I could have possibly learned something. With me, the teacher's attitude and relationship with the
kids is key to learning.

with Gene when we were in high school, The Teen Tones. Sorry to hear about your dad Gene . . .

Freeman Army Air Field I worked for Ken Leininger 1974-1977 when he was Claims
Manager in Harrisburg PA for Bell Telephone. After I moved on to Philadelphia, I used to call him whenever I ran
into a math problem at work. Super guy!

I got a nice email from Johnny's
niece Wanda, pointing out that John was a Corporal in the U. S. Army, not the USAF as indicated in the obituary. Thanks
Wanda.
My Dad liked Johnny, and the Crissman's, and when I was a kid, Dad took me along with him to Crissman's
packing plant in Castanea where we saw John a lot, just about every week. John used to show me around the plant.
He would give me a hot dog to eat while we were walking through the plant. John always treated me kindly. . . kp

Robert T. Davis
18 June 1923 - 25 Sept 2009 Altoona PA
|
|
Bob Davis and I became friends when I worked with him for four years at Bell Telephone
in Altoona. He was Manager of the Construction Department for the Altoone District, and I was the Claims Representative
for 13 Counties, including Altoona/Blair. He retired from Bell in 1979, and worked for a cable company in Pittsburgh
for a few years. He visited me a couple times at our headquarters in Philadelphia after I transferred from Altoona to
Philadelphia Area in 1977. Bob
was a U.S. Army vet of WWII, and served in Northern France and Germany. I think he said he was with
the Second Signal Brigade in 1943 or so. Bob was awarded the Bronze Star. Think of you often Bob.
