This national veterans' fraternity of XGI's brings together students who served in the United States Armed Forces. The members seek to examine matters of common educational, financial, and social significance; and to contribute to the community through various service projects.

My old frat, CGI . . . My old frat, XGI . . .  This is Ken Poorman's tribute page to Chi Gamma Iota (C G I ) . . .  I was inducted into C G I at at WACC/Penn College in Williamsport PA.  I think there are or have been Chapters at the Penn State Harrisburg campus, and at Shippensburg.  I think I remember there being a Chapter at Illinois State University too.  I'll try to include links here tor any XGI Chapter I can find on the web.  I hope more veteran students will take an interest and form more XGI Chapters.  Good luck Vets!

Jim Paules was an XGI brother at Penn State York after serving in the U.S. Navy until 1972.  Penn State York had an active Chi Gamma Iota fraternity.  They raised money during the school year sponsoring dances at the Emigsville Fire Hall and also by running road rallies, which were very popular.  Then in the Spring they would take their hard earned profits and have a royal sea food blow-out!  Jim also went to the Penn State main campus, and there was a Chi Gamma Iota chapter there also, but not as active.  Jim went on to a career at the Exelon Three Mile Island nuclear plant near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Thanks to Jim for contributing the mug in the photo.
